The Pulaski Street congregation participates in both group and individual mission trip campaigns on a regular basis. Past trips have taken members to domestic areas such as Iowa, Virginia and Oklahoma, and international locations such as Vietnam, Paraguay, Honduras and India. 2014 PSYG MISSION TRIP – WALTERBORO, SC
This campaign to Walterboro, SC included our youth group (led by youth minister Jeremy Gargis) planning and putting on a 3-day Vacation Bible School and Youth Rally for this congregation. Before leaving for the trip, the men of the congregation gave us a goal of having 50 in attendance each night. We were able to meet this goal with 58, 67 and 66 people in attendance for the 3 sessions. During our stay, our youth group and parents ventured out into the local community and parks, making friends along the way and being sure to invite them to church services. All of our tweens, in-betweens and teens showed tremendous growth throughout the week as they worked to build relationships with the Walterboro congregation as well as teaching class during the VBS. The church at Walterboro was encouraged, and likewise, the PSYG was encouraged as well.
